What can i use to help clear my acne besides acne cream??

i want pimples to go away...but the acne cream doesnt always work and it leaves my skin dry...what should i do??What can i use to help clear my acne besides acne cream??
If you want to get rid of acne, you'll want to wash your face and hands regularly. wash once in the morning and once in the evening with a very mild soap specifically designed for facial acne treatment is one of the best ways to prevent acne breakouts. But please remember the term ';very mild,'; because harsh soaps that are used as a sort of skin peel can cause more irritation and residual acne from infections than they might solve.

Sometimes getting rid of acne is as simple as avoiding oily foods and greasy foods. Now, I won't pretend that greasy and oily foods are a major cause of acne, but eating these kinds of foods is definitely one way to increase the likelihood of you getting a severe acne breakout. Oily foods tend to get on your hands, and from your hands onto your face, where oils will plug your pores and cause more problems than a face otherwise not covered in oil. Try to stick to healthy foods that are low in fat and oils to reduce acne.

If you want to get rid of acne you will avoid products that use oils, like fabric softener, to moisturize and cause acne. Yes, bacteria do cause acne, but putting synthetic oils and moisturizers on things like your clothes, your towels, and your bedding is just as harmful as rubbing oils all over your face. Oils that are transferred from products like fabric softener will begin clogging your pores the minute you put that towel to your face or your face to your pillow.

At the same time if you want to prevent or get rid of acne, you may want to consider washing your bedding and clothes regularly. Oils from your face--the same oils that clog up your pores and exacerbate acne breakouts--tend to build up on towels, clothing, and bed sheets. Make sure you wash these fabrics and linens regularly to keep your natural oils from building up on them, this will you help prevent acne breakouts.

Getting rid of acne may be possible by keeping a clean hanky with you to wipe away excess perspiration during the day. It's true, keeping a soft, cotton cloth hanky with you during the day to wipe away excess perspiration will help you avoid acne breakouts, and reduce the chances of getting clogged pores.

When you wipe away sweat with a clean cloth you're also wiping away excess dirt and other pollutants that have found their way onto your face. Keep yourself dry .

All The Best ~ (=What can i use to help clear my acne besides acne cream??
I had the same problem. I tried everything and none of them worked. I realized though, that when I personally ate chocolate or french fries, it gave me acne. I know this is a total shocker, but I haven't eaten french fries or chocolate for 2 months now and you wouldn't believe how much clearer my skin had become. But that's not all I do. Every night before I go to bed, I wash my face with a hot washcloth. If you get it hot enough, set it on top of your face for a little bit and let the steam soak in. Next, (warning, this will burn) if you opened up any pimples, put rubbing alcohol in it. It will burn badly, but it kills the germs inside your pimple. Do this to all the ones you open. Then pull your hair back so it's completely out of your face. Put some Neosporin on all the pimples you opened, and go to bed. The next morning, wash your face in the shower with some acne soap. I use Aveeno Clear Complexion Bar. After your done with your shower, use some face lotion to moisturize your skin. I use Aveeno Clear Complexion Lotion. Good luck, hope that helps!
Well to keep my skin flawless, I make sure to keep my hair clean so the oil from my hair doesn't get in it. Also I don't use acne creams, they never worked for me before.

What you need to do is calm your skin with a lotioning cleanser. I use dove lotion cleansers. And I have no zits on my face. But you have to wash your face every morning, or even morning and bed time like I do.
the acne would slowly disappear if you wash you face twice a day. Once when u wake up and once before you go to bed. Moisturize after cleansing. Exfoliate 2 or 3 times a week. these can even get rid of your scars slowly. Do facial once in a while and when you need to treat pimples, use pimple serum. its like liquid. just dab a little bit onto the pimple and it''ll go away
the sun clears all acne.... but if u want to try another cream, i suggest u get this stuff called ZAPZYT. its at walmart about 4 to 5 dollars and it has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide which is very very good! never get acne cream without at least 10%
Vinegar works like a miracle. It might sting. But it works.
i knowi i use the creame i wash my face i drink water and still no improvments

How can I get my face clear from acne without using medicated face cream?

I've tried proactive, noxema, clean and clear, clearasil, and no name but nothing works!!! please helpHow can I get my face clear from acne without using medicated face cream?
ALWAYS avoid touching your face during the course of a day - it's a hard habit to break, but if you train yourself to notice how often you do it, then every time you catch yourself leaning on your hand or touching your face, STOP.

I also recommend washing your face with Cetaphyl Gentle Skin Cleanser.

EDIT:

Wow, while I was writing my response, Vibes advised the same thing! It really makes a difference - think of how many things you touch all day. Oh, and always keep alcohol wipes in little packets with you to wipe off the phones you use on a regular basis, especially if other people use them (i.e., in an office). How can I get my face clear from acne without using medicated face cream?

Most of the things that show up on our skin, is as a result of what is going on inside. You have been dealing with the surface of your problem. You need to attack the root.

You need to detox. Get some colon cleanse and some blood cleanser My recommendation, is Herbal laxtive and detox or Cascara sagrada and red clover. If You cannot get the herbs try herbal.com
take about four aspirin and dissolve them in a few drops of water.. add in a squirt of honey and make it into a paste.. you can also add in a few vitamin e capsules if ya like.. this can be used as a scrub, mask if left on for ten minutes, and a spot treatment left on over night.. it works like pro active.. i've used both and got the same result with each which is clear skin.. pro active dried my skin out too, but aspirin didn't.. it's a lot cheaper also..

oh.. and pro active contains benzoil peroxide.. whereas aspirin contains salicylic acid ..

honey alone as a mask works very well also.. leave it on for twenty minutes..

another thing i do as an exfoliate is i scrub my face with an electric toothbrush.. it's sounds kinda weird but it works.. it really cleans out your pores and removes dead skin, oil and dirt.. you can use any scrub ya like or the aspirin i mentioned.. i like to use st. ives.. and i do it about three times a week..

only wash your face when you wake up in the morning, before you go to bed, and after exercise.. excess washing makes your face produce extra oil..

warm water opens pores and cold closes them.. so wash with warm and rinse with cold..

and watch the make up you use.. a mineral make up is much better for your skin.. it doesn't clog your pores or cause break outs.. i recommend bare minerals..

and get a good toner and moisturizer.. i use the garnier nutritioniste moisturizer.. and lemon juice is a good toner..

drink lots of water.. eat healthy.. and take vitamin e, vitamin c, zinc and b vitamins..

hope this helps..
You know i had acne for about 4 years. I used most of the products you mentioned and nothing worked for me, sometimes they'd go away for a bit but eventually came back.

The way i got rid of acne was that i just stopped touching my face, i avoided touching my face as much as i could. I only washed my face in the shower with a Non-scented soap at night before i went to sleep.

Acne is caused by hormones, or some say it's genetics (my father had acne too). But the reason you brake out badly is because your face is actually very sensitive when it has acne, using different products and constantly picking at your face only irritates your face even more.

I know it's hard to walk around with a big red spot on your face, but trust me...just leave them alone and eventually it dissapears, and understand that this process takes a few weeks for you to actually start seeing resulsts.
me too dude. i've tried everything. i've even gone to a derm and they gave me prescription pills and ointments that didn't work. (and made me sick.) i'm actually going to a consult this afternoon for laser treatments. hopefully it will work.

before you try that, try drinking lots of water and getting a lot of sun or tanning. last summer i spent a month on a houseboat, i drank nothing but water (and beer) never wore makeup and layed in the sun all day. my skin was almost all the way clear. (normal habits brought it back to the way it was before though) also you can try birth control
I just asked this today, and figured it out:

Cut down on anything that is salty or sweet. Don't stress about never getting to eat chocolate again, though. Just cut down :D.

Also, if you drink Soy Milk or anything that raises Estrogen levels, reduce your intake. Unballanced hormones are one of the lead causes for acne.

Water water water. Water cleanses the system and hydrates your skin. So wash your face (room temperature, not hot water) and drink at least 4 pints a day (though 3 should be fine if you usually don't drink much).

Try and de-stress. Stress leads to pimples.

Also, try to avoid touching your face, or having your hair in your face. The oils from your hands/hair transfer to your face and clog pours.
im in the same situation!!

eat healthy and drink water instead of juice and pop.

avoid greasy foods!
get vitamin C supplement. i would recommend soluble vitamin C from Redoxon. only one tablet for a mug and twice a day. the next day, you will see your skin glowing! long term, acne will be gone. thanks to that, im stil having it and i dont have side effects. at the same time.. please eat healty food. just less down fast food and junkies :) more water, fruits and vegetables. good luck!

STOP eating and drinking foods with refined or artificial sugars, like high fructose corn syrup, crystalline fructose or aspartame/phenylalanine. Up your vitamin C, K %26amp; A. Do some exercise like dancing or yoga. Get a little sun everyday, no more than 10 minutes if you have a light complexion. Drink more water. Try using witchazel as a toner during the day, and unfiltered apple cider vinegar at night.

A wash of milk with lime is a great treatment for blackheads. First bring a glass of milk to a gentle boil, and then add juice from half a lime. When the milk cools down it makes a great face wash. You can store it in the fridge for a couple days.

A raw potato is cheap and brilliant acne natural cure, especially for whiteheads. The vitamin C makes your skin glow, and alkaline in the potato kills the bacteria on your face. The potato also has an exfoliating effect helping you to get rid of dead skin cells. Papaya fruit produces similar effect; you should also use it raw. (Make sure the potato isn't genetically modified!)

Many beauty products on the market have harmful chemicals in them; do your favorite beauty products contain any of these things?:

    * Mineral Oil, Paraffin %26amp; Petrolatum – Petroleum products coat the skin like plastic, clogging pores and creating a build-up of toxins, which in turn accumulate and can lead to dermatological issues, like slowing cellular development, which can cause you to show earlier signs of aging. Suspected cause of cancer %26amp; Disruptive of hormonal activity.

    * PARABENS – Such as methyl- propyl- butyl- %26amp; ethyl- parabens: Widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic industry (including moisturizers). An estimated 13,200 cosmetic and skin care products contain parabens. Studies implicate their connection with cancer. They have hormone-disrupting qualities – mimicking estrogen – and interfere with the body’s endocrine system.

    * Phenol carbolic acid – Found in many lotions and skin creams. Can cause circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.

    * Propylene glycol – Used as a moisturizer in cosmetics and as a carrier in fragrance oils. Shown to cause dermatitis, kidney or liver abnormalities, may inhibit skin cell growth, and is a skin irritant and sensitizer.

    * Acrylamide – Found in many hand and face creams. Linked to mammary tumors in lab research.

    * Sodium laurel or lauryl sulfate (SLS), also known as sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) – Found in car washes, engine degreasers, garage floor cleaners… and in over 90% of personal care products! SLS breaks down the skin’s moisture barrier, easily penetrates the skin, and allows other chemicals to easily penetrate. Combined with other chemicals, SLS becomes a “nitrosamine”, a potent class of carcinogen. It can also cause hair loss. SLES is sometimes disguised with the labeling “comes from coconut” or “coconut-derived'; - and is found in many popular body washes and toothpastes!

    * Toluene – Poison! Danger! Harmful or fatal if swallowed! Harmful if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Made from petroleum or coal tar, and found in most synthetic fragrances. Chronic exposure linked to anemia, lowered blood cell count, liver or kidney damage, and may affect a developing fetus. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) contains toluene. Other names may include benzoic and benzyl.

    * WAXES – Such as Paraffin, Candelilla Wax, Carnuba Wax: Waxes are widely used in cleansing creams, eye creams, and moisturizers. Waxes clog pores, creating blackheads and whiteheads. They also smother the skin, which over time creates an enlarged pore problem.

    * Lanolin – A yellow, semi-solid, fatty secretion from sheep’s wool is widely used in skin and beauty care products. It can cause an allergic reaction in some people, as well as enlarged pores.

    * Acetone – Used in nail polish and nail polish removers, this colorless, volatile liquid is often used in astringents, fresheners, or clarifying lotions. It is extremely toxic and will dehydrate the skin, while speeding up the aging process.

    * ALCOHOLS – Such as Isopropyl Alcohol, SD Alcohol 40, Ethyl Alcohol: Alcohols dissolve the body’s natural moisturizers and strip the skin of its protection, leaving it vulnerable to infection. Alcohols destroy skin’s pH balance, and since they absorb water, they speed up wrinkling.

    * FD%26amp;C – When this abbreviation precedes the name of a color, it means that the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has certified it as safe for use in drugs and cosmetics, but not food. D%26amp;C colors are usually synthetic, coal tar colors. They’re toxic and should be avoided when at all possible.

    * Dioxane – Found in compounds known as PEG, Polysorbates, Laureth, ethoxylated alcohols. Common in a wide range of personal care products. The compounds are usually contaminated with high concentrations of highly volatile 1,4-dioxane, easily absorbed through the skin. Dioxane’s carcinogenicity was first reported in 1965 and later confirmed in studies including one from the National Cancer Institute in 1978. Nasal passages and liver are the most vulnerable. Dioxane is easily removed during the manufacturing process by “vacuum stripping”.

Warning: It is a synthetic derivative of coconut. Watch for hidden language on labels, such as “comes from coconut”.

IF SO, you should throw them away IMMEDIATELY and Tell ALL your friends and family!!! (Extra-virgin olive and/or coconut oils are great alternative moisturizers, and they contain natural sunscreens, until you find something else without these toxins) Hope this helps!!! Good luck!!!!!Whats a good clenser/scrub/cream/ANYTHING that gets rid of small pimples and gives you clear skin?
    Cetaphil

It's a gentile cleanser, it's non-comdedic and it is recoended by many ermitologists (my derm recoended it to me!). Don't use harsh exfoliating cleasners or things like loofas, they just hurt your face and leed to scars. Also, diet has nothing to do with pimples. That's a myth. Also, don't try to get a tan to cover it up. UV rays can auctually aggrivate blemishes. Wash your face twice a day (washing more than twice can take away too much oil, causing your body to make more, causing you to become even MORE oily and icky in your face) with warm water (not hot- that robs your skin of it's natural nutrients) and a gentile, soft wash cloth-or your hands (same thing with loofas, don't scrub, don't use a harsh washcloth. It'll just hurt your face)

Basically, you should just use a gantile face cleanser like Cetaphil.

Ps. Cetaphil is a clear substance, so when you wash your face don't expect it to foam and then put enough on that it does.
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
try clean and clear, with the one that has Benson(wrong spelling) peroxide 5%, skin may get a little dry, put it really helps
    Use differin madame.

do sex regularly and apply that serem on ur hidden partHelp plz what is the most efficient cream to whiten and clear intimate area plz?
no need to whiten anything - skin color often varies a bit from part to part. it's normal.
you should verify the reason for the darkening there,is it a recent one?is it a fungal infection?in these cases you can use a antimicrobial cream initially followed by some skin lightening creme like fair n lovely.and dont worry about slight darkening in ur armpits, pubic area its normal to have, because of microbial activity, shaving friction etc...
